of course the religion condemns homosexuality but did you know any gay witnesses?

i knew some bethelites that were very effeminate and i remember 4 women who were suspected of being lesbians by many in the congregation.

they eventually moved away and were very vocal against males, especially elders..

Back to the OP, asking do I know any gay Jdubs? Yes, of course. I don't know what has happened in the past 7 years but before that he was a MS given the privledge to be the door greeter and usher at his congo. He was an exquisite, pretty, beautiful, small man. He always dressed as richly and as fashionable as he could afford. Every detail on him and his clothes was impeccable.

Years before he had been married to a sister to "wash away the gay" but it did not work. She was beautiful in her own right. They divorced and he came out as a JW non practicing gay. The congo he later moved to (possibly getting reinstated but I don't recall right now if he was DF but possibly was for 2, 3 or 5 years and then came here) where I met him, was in a large city with a lot of tourists where he was appointed an MS. Everyone loved him and think well of him. He also spoke English well. The Elder that did the WT for years, never quite let go of his very strong German ascent and he was actually hard to understand at times.

A number of decades ago, a couple were sent to Gilead and they did not graduate.

Why?

They had been told ahead of time, which 3rd world country they would be assigned to in Africa. The brother said, "I can't take that heat. May we have another assignment please, Brothers?".

The answer was "No!. You lied on your application. You said you were in excellent health and would serve (us) where ever we assigned you. You will go through the ceremony and be handed a diploma (it is like a small passport) but it will not be filled out".

He was sent back to his home country (a first world one) but was sent to it's far cold, and bleak region, as a special pioneer couple where icebergs float by in the summertime.

Being a born in, I was present when many of these changes happened. At the time, being a naive, gullible person, I just accepted what ever was told me to Believe.

Reading only a small portion of this list, it makes my head spin. Believe what we say this year! It means your everlasting life! Believe what we say now, not last time. It means your everlasting life! The foolishness continues.

One interesting note that got my attention that I wasn't aware of because I was too little (or asleep at the meeting) was in the early 1950's announcing why a person was disfellowedshiped. It said the announcement was important in the case of fraud, so that the congo would be aware and not be swindled themselves??? Not one person was ever DF in my area for fraud. It didn't say to announce people for adultery though maybe it did in the whole article this came from, not the snippet that was printed.

I was traumatized for decades because in the large metropolitan city I was from, in seemed like it was almost every Thursday meeting, someone was announced for being DF, almost always for adultery. The anouncement would be for anyone DF in the Circuit not just your own congo. There was a lot of adultery going on, and other abuses but recalling who was sleeping around with whom, many had prominant positions, even being the ones to announce The Fallen One. Now thinking back, maybe I was traumatized because who I knew should be DF but weren't and if they were, how would this affect my life? Would someone think I was the one who told? If so, what would they do to me?

a few months back i spoke to an old friend of mine raised "around the truth", but never baptized and wanting nothing to do with the wt.

he is very hip to what is going on in the wt however.

GTSfromSY Thank you very much for posting this situation WT instigated. I agree that it does not add up sensibly. Court case starting April 5th? And you have until April 1st to post an international letter to Russia to be delivered, opened and translated in time to be of any benefit?

Of what benefit or for who's benefit? And since they obviously would know when the Court case was they have to realize what they were doing, why did they cut themselves so close to the Court date? Why not start the letter writing campaign much sooner if the GB really wanted to help? Puzzling for sure.

Your friend's slant is very interesting. Something slick / sick Lawyers might think up but why? Why bug the enemy?

CO's talk on loyalty

the circuit overseer this week on tuesday gave a talk on loyalty to jehovah.

i listed 5 points.

i only remember 3.. one was the typical association with disfellowshipped relatives, the next was loyalty to friends over jehovah by not reporting wrongdoing to elders.

The CO sounds more likely he was disturbed / jealous that he had given up any normal life and children and normal working job and planning for retirement (by his own choice) to serve his God and in his mind, his God doesn't like people going on vacations, especially golfing trips when the Elders come back and mention teeing off at some exotic location. And his wife doesn't have any extra cash to go shopping and buy anything and it upsets her. So this becomes something wrong in (only) his mind.

Wife swapping among JDubs? Yes it happens but not that often. Child abuse still happens all the time. Why didn't he talk about that? Because he has no children so is not personally concerned? But golfing and money for shopping does?

Where is this guys priorities?

If he said wanting to keep the congo clean we will remain loyal to God by reporting child abuse as soon as we learn of this criminal activity in the congregation to the proper authorities which is the Police so they can take care of it properly and throughally. No. They tell the Elders to keep it quiet, under wraps, and call JW..org Legal department to let their paid Lawyers look into it. Shameful.

They do NOT give financial assistance to anyone. They say that is what worldly people / government assistance is for. Got sick? Lost your job? Go on Welfare / Pubic Assistance / Soup Kitchen / Meals On Wheels / Worldly Food Banks, don't come begging (asking) for any help from us. Where on earth did you ever get that silly idea? Didn't you see the letter? It says we are a non profit. We only take in money. We don't give it out.

Good JW: The word narcissist might get thrown out there a lot because the world is waking up to the fact that a percentage of people are this way.

Maybe you yourself are a narcissist and don't like the light shown on this subject?

Narcissists Do NOT accept blame. THEY blame their victims.

Examples:

She made me hit her.

She / he makes me drink and makes me so angry.

If she / he was prettier / more handsome I wouldn't go out looking at other females / males.

He / she doesn't have a hot body so I have to watch porn to get excited. They just don't do it for me anymore.

I told her to have dinner on the table for 5PM. She didn't, so I had to yell and slap her around so she would get my point.

Sometimes she makes me so angry I choke her. It is all in fun though.

I told her if she ever tried to escape I would kill her.

I told her I had a knife / gun and you had better be afraid.

Or the businessman: Hell yeah I signed a contract saying I would pay millions of dollars for this job. They did the job but I'm not a chum. I am not paying them the total amount. They can go suck lemons. In fact I won't even pay them half and keep stalling with that so they can't pay their workmen and they all go bankrupt. Hahaha! Now I am the richman and I don't care about those little people. They mean nothing to me.

All of the above are just some of the tacticts of narcissists. They have no feelings. They never admit they were ever wrong. They will point the finger of blame on you and intentionally drive your good reputation into the mud. Made up lies and gossip they make sure work in their favor. They feel no shame. They are happy in making normal people miserable and enjoy ruining lives. They are sick.

goingthruthemotions: Have you looked up the defination of a narcissist? This is what your wife sounds like. They have no feelings. They only care for themselves and what they can get off other people. Hurting people, getting the "better" of them makes them happy. It sounds warped to us if we are normal but being warped is their normal.

Have you heard of narcissistic supply? Many narcissists marry nice normal people in order to have a ready supply at their finger tips to put supposed loved ones "down". They enjoy hurting you, be it by hitting you, swearing at you, belittling you, laughing at you, no encouragement, with holding sex, putting you in dire financial stress. They don't care what they do to you and they do not apologize. If they apologize it is merely words in the air to make you stay. It is not wholehearted at all and they do not quit, they continue their bad behavior to intentionally hurt.

I am sorry you have a wife like this. May I ask, why do you stay? Many times victims of narcissists state that they were in a Stockholm Syndrome situation. They are brainwashed to believe they cannot make it on their own if they leave, so unfortunately many stay.
